Xiangyu Chao

Xiangyu completed his DPhil in the Langton Group in 2025, studying transmembrane transporters for catalytic ions, before returning as a PDRA to explore molecular machines for catalysis in vesicles. Outside the lab, he enjoys reading non-fiction and soaking up the atmosphere at gigs. He also proudly calls himself a caffeine-dependent (amateur) barista, who perfects his coffee brewing craft every day.
