Terng Tor Keat

Tor is a first year DPhil student on the IMAT CDT from Hong Kong. Before coming to Oxford, he obtained his MSci in Chemistry from King's College London in 2025. During this time, he worked on a range of projects with Dr. David Pugh, most notably, he did his master's project focusing on Ir/Pd - heterobimetallic complexes which contained a Janus di-NHC linker for tandem catalysis. To delay his employment, he came to Oxford to work with Matthew Langton and Steve Faulkner on the development of photoswitches for information storage applications. Outside of the lab, he is either found experimenting in the kitchen, at the gym, gaming, or at the pub.
