Gurshinder Kaur

Gurshinder gained her ‘MSci Chemistry with Year in Industry’ degree from the University of Birmingham. As part of her studies, she completed a placement year working as an analytical scientist at AstraZeneca (Macclesfield, UK). In her final undergraduate year, she joined the Pike group to investigate the synthesis of light-responsive helical aromatic oligoamide foldamers for anion binding. Now in the Langton group as a first year DPhil student, she is looking into the design of photo-responsive cation transporters. For leisure, she enjoys reading fiction novels, sketching, painting and being immersed in nature.
